Sploggers go away! New policy on posting

I hope the dreaded Sploggers get the message and go elsewhere to do their thing!

if they continually post 'articles' that get deleted.

The genuine bloggers will get more reads and more exposure on the front page.

It feels good already.

I hope it works. It would be nice if the old bloggers would return and start blogging again. Thanks for trying.

I hate to be a party pooper but I thought a blogger here couldn't post back to back to back etc. blogs? CutestPrincess (as a for instance) she kind of has me confused...I am not sure she is a splogger and yet the way she blogs tells me otherwise. Ya know?

I know what you mean and there are some borderline cases. In some instances it might just be that a user hasnt posted back to back but that I have deleted the splog inbetween

I usually supply only one link in any case!

There are many of them that are basically ignoring you...They all have multiple links to all sort of commercial sites.

Blogs containing more than one link - or any number of commercial links, are deleted. Sometimes they may be around a few hours before they are deleted as I cant monitor it 24/7.

a little - must find some good stories for here. Remember the old Mad magazines?

hey admin! the way you are doing here will make your site clearn of link. however, in my opinion, it will make blogger spend more time to thinking about how to write a post with only one external link...not really interesting in that.

then maybe we should not allow ANY links in posts so the sploggers wont even waste their time trying to compose their blogs at all?

and I also blog at Blogevolve, a smaller site which has been under attack by sploggers recently. You should contact the BE admin and teach him a few tricks too.

I suggest that for every splog that we in turn write an add condeming the product or service that that splogger is trying to sell. After all they are doing it to create a hype around their product, if we turn that hype upside down with a little of our own propaganda maybe they'll get the point. After a splogger wrote an add about UGG boots in a comment spot on one of my Blogs, I wrote another blog about why people shouldn't wear UGG boots, the comment was quickly removed after that. I'm pretty new at this and I don't know if that's just a normal hit and run tactic, but the splogger can't remove my blog about why people shouldn't wear UGG boots. If enough people write back responses and anti-advertisements maybe they'll get the hint.

You are making a big mistake. By allowing only one link and to non-commercial site or blog only, you are turning this blog service into a chit-chat service.

Your revenues in the future will prove this. Email me when you change your policy.

And, the above commentator was not accurate, eZineArticles allows for two links out and they can be both commercial.

They do not limit themselves as severely as you do.

Let me know if you change your mind. Also, let me know in more uncertain terms what you define exactly to be a splogger. That would help everyone.

between a plainly obvious commercial type of blog and sploggy splog. If the former makes it obvious to you of its intentions, you can take it or leave it, but the splogs with all their links are offensive pollution.
